Description
Hi,
I'm currently working with 'docker-machine' to create VMs, but this issue can be reproduced with a VM created directly with VirtualBox UI.
After suspend, the 'vboxnet1' network interface doesn't appear any more. I'm oblige to start another VM, or restart the previous one, to reactivate the network interface.
Another issue seems to deal with this bug, but it has been closed: https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/13873
If you need more details, or log, don't hesitate.
Many thanks

As you yourself noted, this is a duplicate of #13873. We don't think trying to fight with NetworkManager makes any sense. As the askubuntu question shows, there's the same problem with VMware. So it's clear that NetworkManager does something it shouldn't.
Is there any reason this bug shouldn't be closed as duplicate?

Hmm, I misread the description. Are you saying the interface completely disappears? What is your host exactly? What does ifconfig -a
say before and after suspend? What is in the syslog? Please, when filing bug reports, exercise due diligence and provide at least the obviously relevant information right away.

No feedback. Probably a duplicate of #13873.
It seems that's a known issue with an ugly bypass: http://askubuntu.com/questions/626741/ubuntu-15-04-disconnects-from-virtual-networks-after-wakeup
Maybe a listener could detect the suspend resume event and automatically reactivate all NAT network interfaces.
