"Search" does not work in Help; no Index

  1. in VirtualBox, press F1 to invoke Help, or use menu Help/Contents
  2. click tab "search"
  3. try to search for any word you know is present in the text, for example search for machine.

result: "No topics found"

Also, common expectation for a Help file is to have Index. VirtualBox does not have it.

So, for instance, when I tried to find out what is the difference between Detachable start and Headless start, I was not able to find it in Help, and had to look for the answer on internet. With search working, I would search for "detachable", and with Index, I would probably try to go to Start.

I specify importance as Major because without working Help, competent usage of the product becomes problematic.

Thanks for the report! This bug will be fixed in the next 5.0 maintenance release. The new 5.0 test builds >= 103725 will contain the fixes (yet to be uploaded).

Fixed in VBox 5.0.10.

I still have this issue with version 5.2.4 (on Windows 10 Home host)
