Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400 with 3D acceleration not working

Component: | 3D support | Version: | VirtualBox 5.0.6 |
Keywords: | Windows 10 Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400 | Cc: | |

Description
vbox Version: 5.0.6 r103037 (released today) and several older versions. Windows 7 Host Windows 10 Guest Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400 on the host
I can use the guest if I disable 3D acceleration and enable 2D acceleration. But when I enable 3d acceleration, then I see solid color boxes only. I can interact with the guest but all the windows and start menu show up as solid colored boxes only. There is a screenshot attached in a forum thread (not mine) here:
https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=57406
I have tried to document the behavior (including version numbers) in a separate thread of my own here:
https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=69577
I am attaching an older log file created on the same host but with an older version of vbox.

Could you please test with latest Windows build from https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Testbuilds ? Do not forget to update guest additions too. Thanks.

I also had same issue, but 5.0.7 r103278 fixed the problem. at least Aero theme no longer draws blank screen.
My PC configuration slightly differ than OP's one, but I think the problem happened was same.
