Can not install any version of VirtualBox

When I tried to install the latest version of VirtualBox, I keep getting the error: "Failed to create extraction path 'C:\Users\DAVIDT~1\AppData\Local\Temp\VirtualBox': VERR_ALREADY_EXISTS"

I tried uninstalling the previous version of Virtual Box I had, which was version 4.3.10, and then clicking on the install file for VirtualBox 5.0.4 but it still gave me the same error. I am currently runnning an HP Pavilion laptop which I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I tried running the setup file for a previous version of VirtualBox like version 4.3.30, but I encountered the same error. I also tried running the install file in Compatibility mode for Windows 8 and it still didn't work.

Sorry, I need to be sure: Do you get this error when you try to install VirtualBox so the installation fails? Or do you get this error when you try to start any VM?

Hi, I have the same error, if before installing update have folder VirtualBox on "%UserProfile%\Appdata\Local\Temp".

Workaround is deleting folder "%UserProfile%\Appdata\Local\Temp\VirtualBox"
