Description

after upgrading to virtualbox 5.0.4 i tried using the full screen mode and it doesn't work . This occured when i tried to fix the 'no usb devices available' problem . I tried sudo usermod -a -G vboxusers $USER and the usb no devices problem dissappeared . after that full screen issue started to appear . Unity sidebar doesn't get hid and i don't see any control panel downdside . I hope it will be fixed soon :(

Could you please upload a screen shot showing what you get? From the log it looked like the guest resized to 1280x800, which I imagine is your actual screen size, so I am guessing that the panels and bars are covering part of the guest screen.

Similar problem in same OS.

Host: Ubuntu 14.04 64 bits
Guest: Windows 10 64bits
Virtualbox 5.0.10-104061~Ubuntu~trusty (installed from your PPA)

When I open the virtual machine (with Full screen mode activated) the Windows desktop has the size of full-screen mode (the top bar of apps is hidden) but the VirtualBox window isn't in full-screen, it still shows the top bar of Unity (Ubuntu). http://pix.toile-libre.org/upload/original/1448277465.jpg

To see Windows in full-screen correctly I have to change to fluid mode and then change again to full-screen.

It works as expected here on Ubuntu 15.10. Might this be a problem with Unity which has been fixed since then? It would be great if you could take this up with the Unity developers, especially as we will probably not have time to look at this in the near future.
