Description
Running the latest VirtualBox on my MacBook Pro... VirtualBox GUI says VT-x is turned on... but when booted, Ubuntu 14.04.30 (Linux ubuntu-hpcloud 3.16.0-30-generic #40~14.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jan 15 17:43:14 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux) reports that it isn't enabled.

Attach a Vbox.log file. VT-x is a host side feature, the guest won't report having VT-x available. Nested virtualization is a feature that's not available in VirtualBox.
