What kind of network attachment do you use?

Do you start the VPN on the host or in the guest?

Do you no longer have access to the local network on the host or in the guest?

"Since the upgrade" - does that mean that it worked with the previous version?

Please attach VBox.log from the run that exhibits the problem.

Hi vushakov,

I tried to use "bridged network" that don't work anymore (another ticket) and I use NAT instead.

I started a linux mint virtual machine on my windows 8 PC.

I don't have access to the local machines on Linux Mint and still have access on windows.

This linux mint virtual machine was working correctly (regarding this local network issue) when I was using VirtualBox 4

Resolution: invalid
Status: newclosed

If you run VPN in a guest that uses NAT you will not be able to reach local machines, because they are on a different network, behind NAT, so this is expected behaviour, not a bug.

I guess you are comparing this non-working setup with previously working bridged setup? With bridged, local machines were on the same network, so if your VPN had an option to keep local network access, you were able to access it.
