Description
Hello;
I've two virtual machines running; W2000 and W-XP and starting up on a W-8 host from desktop (icon-link) runs often into an error. Full message:
Virtual Box - Error in suplibOslnit VERR_ACCESS_DENIED (rc=-38) Make sure the kernel module has been loaded successfully
No Vbox.log file was created.

Please uninstall VBox, reboot the host and re-install VBox. It seems that the kernel driver was not properly installed.
