Cant install openvpn when virtualbox is installed. Windows10 x64 build9926

Hi, on windows 10 i cant install openvpn only when virtual box is already insalled. It stuck on tap-installer. Without virtualbox install goes fine.

I'm having this problem, too. Seems to be an issue with "VirtualBox NDIS6 Bridged Networking Driver". As a workaround you could try the following (worked for me, your mileage may vary):

• disable the "VirtualBox Host-Only Network" adapter
• on all other network interfaces in preferences uncheck the box before "VirtualBox NDIS6 Bridged Networking Driver"
• run tap-install

If the install is successful then:

• on your new tap interface: in preferences uncheck the box before "VirtualBox NDIS6 Bridged Networking Driver"
• on your other network connections: in preferences check the box before "VirtualBox NDIS6 Bridged Networking Driver"

However, on my system (VirtualBox 5.0.10) I was only able to successfully use the tap interface if the "VirtualBox Host-Only Network" adapter was disabled. So keep in mind:

• enable the "VirtualBox Host-Only Network" adapter before using VirtualBox
• disable the "VirtualBox Host-Only Network" adapter before using your tap interface
• do not use VirtualBox and your tap interface at the same time
