Bidirectional Clipboard not working From Vista(x86) Host to XP Pro Guest

Host: Vista (x86) SP1
Guest: XP Pro SP3

Copy\paste of text from Guest to Host works fine. Copy Paste from Host to Guess simply doesn't work. No other effects have been noticed than the following.

1) In guest, copy some text. In host paste that text into notepad (works every time).
2) In guest copy some text. In guest paste that text into notepad (works every time).
3) In host copy some text. In host paste that text into notepad (works every time).
4) In host copy some text. In guest paste that text into notepad (fails every time - last thing copied IN GUEST will be pasted instead).

A clue I created this ticket from the Host Machine using IE7. During the creation of the ticket I clicked the Bold and\or Italics button(s) on the little format bar above the text entry area.

To my suprise, the next time I tried to paste something in my guest machine it was several single quotes (what is inserted when cliking the bold or italics button).

However when I went back to notepad and copied a text selection no go. I tried several other apps including trying to copy some text from a webpage in IE7 but it was not working. So context menu copy or edit-copy is not working, but however this website ticket system programatically populates the clipboard works.

I have this exact same issue. However, the guest is RHEL4 instead of Windows XP. Copy+Paste from guest (RHEL4) to Windows Vista 32-bit x86(Host) works fine. However, the Copy+Paste from host (Windows Vista 32-bit x86) to guest (RHEL4) never works.

Please reopen if the clipboard does still not work for you with VirtualBox 2.2.0. Please upgrade your guest additions as well.
