Issue with Microsoft Narrator
Reported by: | Tae | Owned by: | |
---|---|---|---|
Component: | other | Version: | VirtualBox 4.3.20 |
Keywords: | Cc: | ||
Guest type: | all | Host type: | Windows |
Description
You can install VirtualBox on Windows hosts and run Narrator to read elements on the GUI based Manager. But please be aware that VirtualBox will read escaped HTML tags when moving the mouse into anything and may crash while trying to do certain things like editing the description for any virtual machine. That's because VirtualBox is still not fully compatible with Narrator.
Steps to reproduce:
- Run Microsoft Narrator through the Start menu or the Run dialog.
- Run VirtualBox.
- Create and start any virtual machine.
- Right-click the networking icon.
- Move the mouse to the item "Connect Network Adapter".
Actual: The menu item is not spoken.
Expected: The menu item should be spoken out just like previous versions of VirtualBox.
