initial v1 1 1 Putting lothario on CC. In fact, the Lubuntu 17.10 bug is a different one (I did take time to reproduce it). The Lubuntu live ISO starts loading the !VirtualBox graphics driver and X.Org at the same time, and if X.Org happens to be slightly faster it starts accessing the graphics hardware without using the driver, while the driver is also accessing it. This is also a bug in Lubuntu though. It should make sure that the graphics driver is loaded before it needs to use it. 2 3 You should probably open a new bug at Launchpad for this.
