VirtualBox manager crashes in a remote desktop session

Description
I am running VirtualBox Manager on a Windows 7 SP1 64-bit host. VirtualBox extensions are installed for that version of VirtualBox. No VMs are running, just the main VirtualBox Manager window is open. When I connect to that host from another Windows 7 SP1 64-bit machine via remote desktop, VirtualBox Manager crashes (see screenshot).
