Description

Hi, when I try to create a new OS X System, there are only "Mac OS X (32-bit)" and "Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard (32 bit)". Why I can't make 64-bit?

Thanks all

A VBox.log file would show the reason. I assume that VT-x/AMD-V is not available on your box. Furthermore, OS X guests are not supported on non-Apple hardware.

VERR_VMX_MSR_VMXON_DISABLED means that VT-x is disabled in your BIOS. Next time please use the 'attach' button.

Oh sorry, I'm new here. So, is there a way to change this or not?

comment:5 by Frank Mehnert, 10 years ago

Yes, reboot your computer and open the BIOS settings. Search for VT-x or virtualization technology or something like that. But still, don't come back if you enabled VT-x and you are unable to boot your guest because OS X guests are not supported on non-Apple hardware.
