Cannot install VBoxGuestAdditions on Windows 8

The error message in the lock means that the current medium is locked. If you try to install the Guest Additions then the virtual CDROM image containing the Guest Additions is mounted. If there is currently another medium mounted and locked by the guest, mounting the Guest Additions image will fail. Therefore to me this doesn't look like a VirtualBox bug.

If the software tells me that it cannot mount an image because it is locked, while I did not lock anything (clean install), I do consider it a bug. Maybe it is some Windows 8 access rights, maybe something else, but a bug for me.

Actually it's not a bug but a user mistake. The CDROM drive still has the Fedora 20 LiveCD included. You cannot insert the Additions .iso image as long as you don't reboot your guest from the hard disk and unmount the LiveCD.
