Snapshot Saved State Deletion and Path Errors

Description

I am getting this error on 64-bit OpenSUSE VirtualBox 4.2.6_OSE r82870 when I try to start a VM I just restored to it's last saved state. It had previously been working:

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine vista.
VM cannot start because the saved state file '/home/scriptjunkie/VirtualBox VMs/vista/Snapshots/2013-10-15T23-41-12-950945000Z.sav/Snapshots/2013-10-15T23-41-12-950945000Z.sav/Snapshots/2013-10-15T23-41-12-950945000Z.sav' is invalid (VERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND). Delete the saved state prior to starting the VM.

"/home/scriptjunkie/VirtualBox VMs/vista/" is the main folder for the VM and there is a subfolder "/home/scriptjunkie/VirtualBox VMs/vista/Snapshots/" which has some virtual disk files in it, but no subfolders.

It appears for some reason, the file "/home/scriptjunkie/VirtualBox VMs/vista/Snapshots/2013-10-15T23-41-12-950945000Z.sav" does NOT exist, which leads me to believe that VirtualBox has deleted my saved state, and managed to mangle the path to it in the process.

I know this is not the absolute most updated VirtualBox version, but it is the most updated in the OpenSUSE repositories, and download.virtualbox.org is down right now. (for everyone http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/download.virtualbox.org ) Also, I did not see any other bug tickets referencing problems like this, so I have to assume it still exists in the latest version. This is now the second VM

... now the second VM that has lost a saved state due to this error. And there are no other .sav files in the Snapshots folder. Also "its" not "it's" for you grammar nazis. I feel ashamed of my grammar, ok.

Sorry, but there were a lot of snapshot-related fixes after 4.2.6. Please reopen if you can reproduce this problem with VBox 4.3.6. In that case please also provide exact steps how to reproduce the problem.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
