Description
Running OSX 10.9 Build 13A603, VBox 4.3.4
I created a new VM for Ubuntu 64-bit and tried to boot off the 12.04-3 64bit DVD ISO.
Starting the machine from the ISO selection screen results in this error:
Unable to insert the virtual optical disk Host Drive 'HL-DT-ST DVDRW GA32N' into the machine .
Callee RC: NS_ERROR_CALL_FAILED (0x800706BE)
Starting the machine from the VirtualBox Manager results in this error: Failed to open a session for the virtual machine .
Callee RC: NS_ERROR_CALL_FAILED (0x800706BE)
I have no logs to include as the machine has never started before.
Additionally, trying to change parameters of the machine (ram, # of cpus, etc) also cause NS_ERROR_CALL_FAILED

Looks to me like the VBoxSVC service crashes at this time. Do you see some crash log for VBoxSVC? Also, the VBoxSVC.log file would be interesting.
