Description
This issue is similar to bug #11747 though I don't have the vboxdrv error message.
I attach my VBox.log
On OpenIndiana 5.11 host with Windows XP guest, I fail to connect to USB devices. The USB extensions are installed. The VM sees the USB device (a Canon MP 230 USB printer in my case) and reports it as attached. However, when I try to install the drivers for the printer on the guest, at some point it asks me to connect the printer, and never detects it is connected.
VBoxManage list usbhost UUID: 8f980318-c52a-4d2c-9674-bc233970d2e9 VendorId: 0x04a9 (04A9) ProductId: 0x175f (175F) Revision: 1.3 (0103) Port: 3 USB version/speed: 2/2 Manufacturer: Canon Product: MP230 series SerialNumber: 014DE3 Address: 0x4a9:0x175f:259:/pci@0,0/pci1462,7798@1d/hub@1/hub@4 Current State: Captured
I consequently cannot use the USB printer on my guest. I encounter similar problems with all USB devices I plug in to the VM.
