VM crashes when successful VRDE connection with External auth

Description

Hi,

I have 2 Ubuntu servers with OVB VMs on them. If I have "External" auth set for the authentication method, when I connect to the machine crashes. It doesn't matter which guest OS I am running.

If I set the authentication to "Null" this doesn't happen, however I cannot leave my VMs unsecured.

The machines will run for days without a problem, but as soon as I authenticate, it crashes.

Note: if I fail to authenticate (i.e. wrong password) the machine does NOT crash. It is only upon successful authentication.

I saw somewhere that there were crash issues related to gcc4.7. I do have gcc4.7 installed. Could this be the issue? If so, what is the solution?

This has been happening through several versions of VirtualBox, but I'm currently on 4.2.12.

Thanks, --mobrien118
