Description
Wifi USB adapters don't work on Windows Guests.
They work on Linux Guests (fedora).
For the Windows Guest, all the correct drivers are installed.
I tried unchecking the "Enable Network Adapter" in VirtualBox GUI to no avail.
I also tried keeping it checked, then disabiling the Ethernet Adapter from inside the guest to force it to use the Wifi Adapter.
But the Wifi Adapter is not listed in the network adapters section.
When I went to Devices (drivers) ==> it said the adapter was unable to start.
I tried this with 2 different USB wifi adapters.

Please reopen if still relevant with a recent version of VirtualBox and attach a VBox.log of the affected VM.
Still happens with VirtualBox-4.2.51-86055 (May 28 build).
