Open .vhd file with XP Mode VM results in error: E_FAIL (0x80004005)

Using Microsoft Virtual PC to create and use the XPMode within Windows 7 (latest patches). Tried to open create a new VM within Virtualbox with that .vhd file results in this error:

Parent medium with UUID {7d35d3e0-31ae-6845-8aa1-ee94d772296f} of the medium 'D:\Users\ssss\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Virtual PC\Virtuelle Computer\Windows XP Mode.vhd' is not found in the media registry ('D:\Users\ssss/.VirtualBox\VirtualBox.xml').
