What happens if you uninstall + reinstall VirtualBox? Does that solve your problem? And, was the previous installation an upgrade or a clean installation?

I have the same problem with 4.2.8 installed on a Win 7 64b host OS. Is there a solution to this problem? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Same behavior.

o0Julia0o, did you try the most recent Windows version (5.0.16)? Please attach a VBox.log file (if one is created) and the VBoxHardening.log file.
