Ticket #1149 (closed defect: fixed)
WinXP guest freezes after pressing CTRL
|Reported by:||nico_mey||Owned by:|
I'm using VirtualBox 1.5.4 - linux host (openSuse 10.3) - windows xp guest.
I've "copied" a running xp installation (save and restore with "partimage"). My xp guest is starting and the login window appeares. After pressing only the CTRL button (because I've wanted to login with "CTRL-ALT-DEL") the system "freezes" (moving the mouse and pressing the keyboard has no effect).
But after some time the screensaver is starting and it is possible to shutdown the xp installation with pressing "HOST-KEY H". So the system isn't completely freezed.
Many of the following lines appear in my log file "VBox.log":
4771:54:42.870 PIIX3 ATA: LUN#1: IDLE IMMEDIATE, CmdIf=0xe5 (-1 usec ago)
4771:54:42.871 PIIX3 ATA: LUN#1: aborting current command
Did you have any idea what is happening here?
