Description
linux v3.4.11-2.16-desktop x86_64 opensuse v12.2 gnome v3.4.x windows v8 32bit (XP upgrade)
A Windows 8 guest can freeze the desktop. User I/O is dead: mouse, keyboard, desktop/monitor. There is still life in the system; I can see disk activity, but there is no hope of interaction. A reboot is required.

The question is what other applications run on your host in parallel to that huge Windows 8 VM. The VBox.log file shows that not that many RAM is available on your host. If your Linux host is busy shuffling pages around to get more memory for your guest than there is nothing we can do about this.
