Reported by: hkken Owned by:
Component: 3D support Version: VirtualBox 4.2.6

Description

I found that the Guest OS (Win XP) is very lag on playing HD Video. I have tested 3rd party Virtual Machine on the Same Host can be smoothly play that video.

Besides, I found there is a problem on enabling 2D Video Acceleration. The video will be broken when I enabled that feature.

Below is my Hardware of my laptop.

To localize the problem(s), could you specify which issues do you have in each particular case:

  1. 2D & 3D disabled
  2. 2D enabled & 3D disabled
  3. 2D disabled & 3D enabled
  4. 2D & 3D enabled

Also please attach VM log files for each of the above configs and a link to a sample video you have issues with.

Yes, I have tested 3 & 4 you mentioned as your previous reply. Summarized Result

  1. I have attached the photo for you that the cpu is very high when playing the HD video. I have tested 3rd party that the CPU highest rate is 60%. But you can see that it is 80-100%.
  1. I have enabled the 2D Video acceleration and play that video again you can see that the cpu loading will become lower. However, you can see that the video has been broken.

PS: that Video Source is same.
