Description

Since few days ago my VirtualBox installation suddenly stops working. Everytime I start a VM a message saying (there are some spanish words)

Fallo al abrir una sesión para la máquina virtual IE8.

Failed to load VMMR0.r0 (VERR_SUPLIB_WORLD_WRITABLE).

Código Resultado: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)

Componente: Console

Interfaz: IConsole {db7ab4ca-2a3f-4183-9243-c1208da92392}

appears. I 've searched in forum and Google and upgraded to VirtualBox (previously I had 4.2.1) 4.2.4 but there's no luck.

MacOs is a MD205 MacBookPro with Lion 10.7.5.

Have a look at the VBox.log file you attached. The /Applications directory is writable and VirtualBox will not start on such a system. VirtualBox is installed below that directory and a world-writable /Applications directory means a security problem. Fix the permissions of that directory (and other similar permission problems) and your VMs will start.
