Are you sure that the guest is correctly installed? Does it matter if you enable the host I/O cache for the storage controller in the VM settings?

no, it does not change anything at all, always black screen after clicking on start fedora.

This sounds like a corrupted installation. Did you use the official Fedora 17 installation CD? Were there any problems during the installation, did the installation abort?

no! just after giving start the installation, the screen remains black.

So if the installation does not start even start I really suggest you to check the CDROM image for corruption (e.g. by comparing the MD5 hash).
