VirtualBox 4.1.8 running on top of Windows 7 SP1 X64. VM: Windows 7 SP1 x86 with enabled 3d acceleration. Latest integration components installed r75467.

Opening Powershell ISE editor results in a crash:

Thanks for the report. We've reproduced the problem here. We're investigating it currently..

We've fixed the crash you observed. Here is the test build with the fix:

http://www.virtualbox.org/download/testcase/VirtualBox-4.1.9-76144-Win.exe

Note that you'd need to update guest additions also.
Also note that wpf-based applications (including powershell_ise) work correctly with Composited desktop (Aero theme) switched ON in guest.
This is a known issue and we have to postpone fixing it until some more critical issues are solved.

Let me know whether it solves the crash for you, and whether powershell_ise now works OK for you with Aero enabled.
