I've had this happen to me on Aptosid distro (Debian Sid-based), but
only once. I'm not sure what the  problem is related to, to be honest.
I think that restarting the VNC client might have solved it (maybe
something doesn't get initialised properly, I could make some checks
on my side of this, but yes, this is unrelated to the actual patch for
configure script :).
