[vbox-dev] xpcom on windows

Hello all,

I am wondering why com is used on Windows and xpcom on other OSs. Couldn't
xpcom also be used on Windows?

I asked because VC++ Express Edition is not able to build the com interfaces
and I do not want to buy the full version of VC++.
