Alright.
I need the notes for fixing the build so that I can start the project.
As I had noted in the last post, I'm going to do the FreeBSD amd64
project which includes building the kernel modules.
The virtualbox forums will have my progress. I need all changes
related to FreeBSD. Have them mail the notes to me.
Importing the linux headers to FreeBSD may be the first step in making
the application work. The FreeBSD patches are necessary to make the
build on amd64 freebsd 7.0. I also need the test results for fc4,
suse9, and suse10. I'll need those from 1.6 to 2.0 but not including
2.x. I also need the portions of code that are specific to qemu-I've
stated these need to be changed to fit the current qemu binary. Sun
binaries that are related to the project I will also need. especially
those that have been tested on any FreeBSD build.
You have my permission to post this to the list.
The users list knows less about the build than the developers.
Get me the information I ask and send it in bz2 format. They can also
and have them add "contents:FreeBSD-amd64-7.x:test&kmodule:do not
reply" to the subject line.

This will make all parties happy and will help the process of porting
to FreeBSD on amd64 faster.

And again, I am unconventional in my methods. Once someone is chosen
as the official maintainer of the port, I'll do the build, kernel
modules, and improvements away from the list.
