Wrong answer.
I just compiled the same version of VBox SVN on Fedora7/x64 (2.6.21 kernel).

Also I successfully compiled older versions of VBox on 2.6.8 (!)
kernels (Mandrake 10.1)
Old kernel is not an excuse.
