Description
Currently in the setup filter area for USB, you have the option to use vendor id, product id, serial number and also port. It does not explain how the port should be entered into the box. According to Windows 7 64bit, the port is listed as Port_#0001.Hub_#0010 for the USB soundcard I want to install in a VM. How do I enter this into the port box in Virtual Box? The devices I am using do not use serial numbers, so I have to distinguish by port. I am using Win 7 64bit as Host, XP as Guests.
Note:
See TracTickets
for help on using tickets.
I know far too late but for completion if someone else stumbles over it, you can use
VBoxManage list usbhost
to retrieve the port for a particular device and use that to create the filter. Next time please use the forum to discuss such questions.
