Failed to create VirtualBox COM object on VB startup

Description
I upgraded from 3.1.6 to 3.2.10. When I start up VB I get the following error:
VirtualBox - Critical Error
Failed to create VirtualBox COM object. The application will now terminate.

I am running Vb on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit with a Windows XP guest. 3.1.6 was running great, I upgraded because of the upgrade nag screen.
My system hardware is: Intel Core 2 Quad (Q9550 @ 2.83GHz) 4Gb RAM ATI Radeon HD 3400 Series Video 300Gb Hard drive with 200Gb free
I have tried to uninstall, reboot and reinstall both versions and I have moved the .VirtualBox folder.

After going through what happened when everything stopped working, I narrowed it down to a software package called Youwave I tried. This is an android emulator. After speaking with their tech support I found that they use virtualbox for the emulator. Because I already had virtualbox installed, the youwave install did not go properly. So I did per their instructions and removed both, installed youwave first then VB. Youwave worked, but VB wouldn't load. I uninstalled youwave and VB was still broke. Finally, I searched the registry and removed any instances of "youwave", unistalled VB and reinstalled VB and all is working.
