Taking running snapshots from GUI fails on linux host

Description
Attempting to take a snapshot of a running host from the "Snapshots" tab of the GUI presents an error that reads:
""Failed to open a session for virtual machine <name> A session for the machine '<name>' is currently open(or being closed).""
(snapshots work fine from the window of the VM itself, just not from the GUI)

When looking at the latest development code (i.e. what wil become VirtualBox 3.2) I noticed that taking snapshots in the VM config window is disabled already. This prevents getting the error.
