Unable to start when Network adapter is missing

Description
Currently, if you try to launch a client that has a network adapter (bridge) missing, the machine will not start until you disable the missing adapter. This is annoying because I use a Cisco VPN client from home to work, and I bridge to it. When I am at work, I do not use the Cisco VPN client. So I often have to reconfigure my network configuration before starting my VM. Could it be made so that there would be only a warning about the missing network adapter but the machine would launch?
