Host type: Windows

Description

Because I see a higher CPU usage as usual I decided to deinstall VirtualBox to see if VB is the cause.
At "Add or Remove Programs" I get a "Fatal error during installation".
Before I have Updated from v2.1.4 to v2.2.0 and removed the "Host only Network".
Host: WinXP Pro x64 SP2 with all updates

After a repair the deinstallation seems to work, but after a reboot I get a "Unknown Device" message and the Device Manager show a unknown network device. I think it is/was the "Host Only Network Interface" that were not completely removed. I have to manualy uninstall it. So please check the deinstallation rutine.

I would like to confirm this bug and workaround. Deinstallation fails with a fatal error. Running a repair install, then deinstall succeeds.

So far I have not encountered the issue with the extra network interface needing deinstallation.

To all having issues with bridged interfaces not being displayed or having the install problems on windows:
Please send me a mail at Mikhail dot Sennikovsky at sun dot com. I'll then send you a link to a new test VBox version containing installation fixes.

To all not being able to uninstall VBox 2.2 on windows:
Please see my comment 6 to #3701
