Description
Setup: 1.3.99-beta1 running on Mac OS X
Procedure using GUI: (1) Create new image and install Windows XP (2) Shutdown Windows (3) Try to make a snapshot

I have seen that as well. However, it is not so easy to reproduce. Also when I got the hang and then started VBox again, the snapshot was there and it worked. So the hang must be after it actually creates the snapshot.
If you have a better (i.e. bulletproof) reproduction scenario, I would be very grateful.
