I have the same problem with version 2.1.2 like with previous one - 2.1.0. Installation fails, rolls back the action at the end - right after 2 confirmations about not signed devices installation. What's strange is that I'm able to install both these "problematic" new versions at home, but at work I'm not. Both computers are Windows XP SP3, but at work, I'm connected to the domain.

Good news: We believe to have fixed the problem in a development build recently. To test this build please send me an email to <my nickname> at sun dot com (to prevent spam). I'll send you a download location to try out this build then.

Yes, good news indeed. This new build pentagonik mentioned: VirtualBox-2009-01-29-16-28-09-w32rel-2.1.51-r42215 works well for me. No more problems with rollback at the end of the installation and no more need to disable LAN in Windows (workaround). Installation successful.
