Hello everyone.
I can't boot any of my VMs in Virtualbox. I have several VMs with different versions of Ubuntu, specifically Ubuntu 12 and Ubuntu 20. The same problem occurs in all of them when starting, getting on the screen: "kernel panic - not syncing attempted to kill the idle task ". Attached log. I have tried to generate a new VM with Ubuntu 12, but I get the same problem. Thanks for your help.

I agree with what you indicate dvhsfan. My host is Win 11 and I have installed a patch just before it starts to fail.

I believe this is related to #20943. I was able to circumvent the problem by adding a CPU to my configuration (had only one, now have two). However, I cannot get it to run smoothly unless the VM is launched normally and I keep both windows open (main VirtualBox window and Guest OS Window open). I used to launch the VM in headless mode. Host-only configuration on the guest OS also messes up the network and I had to disable it.
I've encountered the same issue with Win 11 host. More info -> it was working fine until I applied some Win 11 patches ?!?! (At least, I think so) I'm using Hyper-V. Stumbled upon the Ubuntu crash while attempting to install a Win 10 Guest. Neither operating system works. Win 10 goes into an infinite install loop which never exits.
