Guest Additions: Drag and Drop Fails to Work / Register

Description
While the copy and paste works just as expected, I can not get drag and drop to work. I have re-installed (right before posting this) virtualbox 6.1.30 along with the appropriate 6.1.30 guest additions to double check.
To ensure I am not messing up installation, I have tried all different ways of installing the guest additions (GUI, terminal, etc).
To give you some visual, it shows a red circle with a slash through it when hovering the file over a virtualbox machine.
