priority: blockermajor

Please reopen if this problem persists with the latest release (2.2.2). Decreasing priority as FreeBSD is not officially supported as guest (of course it should work anyway).

Is this fix in a release yet?

comment:5 by Frank Mehnert, 14 years ago

Well, FreeBSD should work as guest with VT-x enabled. As there was no response to my second last comment I closed this ticket.

comment:6 by David Abrahams, 14 years ago

I don't have VT-x on the host in question, FWIW

comment:7 by Frank Mehnert, 14 years ago

In that case you can continue at #3947 but allowing to run BSD without VT-x is currently a low priority because it is not that easy to fix and probably not worth the effort.

It's pretty frustrating to have bought the last generation of opteron before VT-X came out :-/. Seems there's lots I can't do.
