  1. I can't reproduce it on a OSX 10.11.6 host with a Win7-32 guest.
  1. Programs like these tend to push the physical hardware to their limit hence the strict requirements for the graphics card (GPU) specifications. Virtual machines will never be as powerful as the host, especially on the video side. They use after all a virtual graphics card, not your host's real graphics card. The virtual GPU itself is from around 1995-2000 in terms of capabilities. Applications that have high requirements on the GPU (drawing, 3D, games, video) are expected to not work as good as on the real hardware, if they work at all.
  1. It's usually better and faster, if issues get first addressed in the VirtualBox forums, a lot more eyes there. More than 95% of the issues are resolved in the forums, which keeps the developers focusing on the bug fixes and enhancements, and there is no need for another ticket to keep track of.

Plus a discussion and analysis on the bug tracker is going to help me, you, and potentially a future drive-by user or two. Not so in the forums, many more tend to benefit. So, please open a new thread in the Windows Guests section of the forums. Please be sure to mention that you came from the bug tracker and include the ticket number.

  1. You were supposed to follow these steps when you filed the bug, and provide a VBox.log:

Attach a (full) log file ("Machine" menu/"Show Log" in the main VirtualBox Manager window) straight away to save time for you and for us. The log file contains a lot of useful information about both the host and the guest systems as well as information about what happened during a particular machine run. Please do not cut and paste it.

Resolution: wontfix
Status: newclosed

Please try with the latest release and switch to the VMSVGA based 3D support, the old one was dropped with 6.1 and we don't plan to fix such issues for the support in 6.0. Please report any issues with the VMSVGA 3D support.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
