#15903 new defect

Media not released after a snapshot revert

Reported by: mskov Owned by:
Component: other Version: VirtualBox 5.1.4

Description

If you revert to a snapshot where some media was not attached, it doesn't get released. The way to reproduce:
1) Create a snapshot without any media attached
2) Attach an iso image to the VM
3) Revert to a snapshot
4) The VM doesn't have the iso attached anymore (as expected). But in the "Virtual media manager" this iso is still shown as attached and "release" of the iso doesn't work.

If you kill VBoxSVC and start "Virtual media manager" again, then the iso is shown as "not attached" and can be released without problem.

Please attach an affected .vbox config. We can't reproduce so there must be some config specific misbehavior.

The .vbox config after a snapshot revert is attached. VBoxSVC.log is attached as well.
