USB devices not available after ugrade to 4.3.26

Description

Ububtu 14.04 on a Dell E7240 Ultrabook with only USB3 ports, Windows 7 installed in VM.

Under 4.3.24, USB2 devices plugged into the laptop (USB3 ports) are available to the Win 7 VM and generally work absolutely fine. After upgrading to 4.3.26 (latest available), the USB devcies plugged in are greyed out on VM startup and the list does not alter when new devices are plugged in/out.

Removing 4.3.26 and reinstalling 4.3.24 solves the problem and USB devcies are available again.

In each case, the appropriate version of the extension pack was installed.

Please attach a VBoxSVC.log file. This should be located either in ~/.VirtualBox or in ~/.config/VirtualBox.

I think this is a suitable log. From the age and version info it appears to show the problem (currently running .24 as noted above and at work, so can't mess with installs right now). Looking at it, maybe as simple as a permission problem on Ubuntu? Sorry, I don't know much about how virtualbox works with USB. Apologies also for the delay, I didn't get an email from the system.

Failed to open "/dev/vboxdrvu", errno=13, rc=VERR_VM_DRIVER_NOT_ACCESSIBLE is not normal.

Is this problem still relevant with VBox 4.3.36 or 5.0.14?
