Unsupported X.Org Server 1.16

Guest additions no longer works on Debian Unstable (sid) at the time of writing.

Reinstalling Guest Additions gives me the following error:

"Warning: unsupported version of X.Org server installed. Not installing the X.Org drivers"

I'm afraid that we only support released versions of X.Org in our Guest Additions (usually in the next VirtualBox release after the X.Org one). If you build yourself things should work - RC 3 did, though RC 2 did not.

Can you please tell me what I need to build myself to get this working?

You would want to look at building the Additions with the make variable VBOX_USE_SYSTEM_XORG_HEADERS set, then put the driver module file into place manually. I'm afraid that a detailed explanation would be a bit too long, but you might want to look at the Fedora Rawhide RPM fusion package to see how they do things.
