Guest system NIC can not to bridge host NIC when host NIC is cable unpugged

Reported by: milos Owned by:
Component: network Version: VirtualBox 4.2.10
Keywords: bridge, cable unplugged Cc:
Guest type: Linux Host type: Windows

Description

When in Network setings of guset system is chose Bridged Adapter, guest and host systems are network interconnected only when the host NIC is cable plugged. When host NIC is cable unplugged, bridged connection between host and guest NICs is losed. This is logical bug, because you can connect host NIC only to lonely ethernet switch and interconnection between host and guest system will be to work. VBox bridge driver should hold host NIC in state "Connected", while in guest system settings Network > Adapter X > Advanced > Cable connected check box is marked and guest system is runing.
