USB Pass Through failure for Ubiquiti SR71USB Wireless controller

Description
When attempting to mount the SR71USB wireless card on vbox 4.3.2 with guest additions installed registers:
usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -62 usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -110
The guest OS is a 32bit installation of Kali Linux and the host is MAC 10.8. This issue is also experienced with host LUbuntu 11.2 and the same guest OS. This issue is not experienced with VMware Workstation 5.0.3 and the USB card is mounted properly.
