Description
I'd very much like to see the application running without an installation. I'd like to be able to have VirtualBox on a 16GB memory stick for example which I can carry around instead of a laptop.
It is not always possible to install VirtualBox since you need Administrator rights. Having to install system drivers on a remote PC is not desirable. It would be nice if VirtualBox were able to run with basic functionality in a plug and play manner.

I'm afraid that this is not very feasible, since most of the things which VirtualBox does to execute guest code at a decent speed require administrator rights. In fact, Qemu more or less does what you are looking for. The fact that it is considerably slower than VirtualBox is mainly due to the fact that it runs as a pure user application.
