Repeating Crash

Reported by: negativeview Owned by:
Component: other Version: VirtualBox 4.1.18

Description

After updating I am getting a repeating using OS X 10.6.8 as the host and Ubuntu as the guest. I am not doing the same thing each time, but the crash log looks identical in all cases except one. From reading the crash log it looks like a graphics update crashed.

An attempt at finding a workaround is showing promising results. I used to have virtual box fullscreened on one of my monitors and used my host OS only on the second monitor.

After un-full-screening things, it's somewhat annoying because I have to down the resolution, but it hasn't crashed. Either the reduced resolution (was 1920x1080) or the non-fullscreen seems to have at the very least reduced the frequency.

Decrease the amount of memory assigned to the guest. You should also consider upgrading your Mac OS X host as SL is still 32-bit on your computer.
